Partnership with CAFOD: Women & Girls Financial Resilience Program
Muzambiringa partners with CAFOD to deliver a comprehensive Training of Trainers program strengthening financial resilience among women and girls in Sierra Leone.
We are proud to announce our partnership with CAFOD (Catholic Agency for Overseas Development) to deliver the Women and Girls Financial and Resilience Strengthening Program. This initiative represents a significant step forward in our commitment to economic empowerment across Sierra Leone.
The program centers around a Training of Trainers (ToT) methodology, equipping community leaders with the skills and knowledge to cascade financial literacy training to women and girls in underserved communities. Participants learn practical skills in budgeting, savings, micro-enterprise management, and financial planning.
Over the first phase, we have trained 45 community trainers who will, in turn, reach an estimated 500+ women and girls across multiple districts. The ripple effect of this approach ensures sustainable impact long after the initial training period.
"When you empower a woman financially, you empower an entire community," shares one of our program facilitators. "The energy and determination we see in every training session reminds us why this work matters."
This partnership aligns directly with our commitment to SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth). We look forward to expanding this program to reach even more communities in the coming months.
