The Ignition Hour: Cohort 3 Launches with 12 New Ventures
Our flagship venture building program welcomes its largest cohort yet, with 12 promising startups from across West Africa ready to transform their ideas into market-ready businesses.
The Ignition Hour, Muzambiringa's flagship 24-month venture building program, has officially launched its third cohort with 12 exceptional startups from Sierra Leone, Guinea, and Liberia. This marks our largest cohort to date, reflecting the growing demand for structured venture building support across the region.
Selected from over 200 applications, these ventures span sectors including agritech, healthtech, fintech, clean energy, and sustainable manufacturing. Each team will receive end-to-end business development support, from refining their value propositions to securing their first customers and preparing for investor pitches.
The program begins with an intensive 8-week bootcamp phase, where founders will work closely with our team of mentors, industry experts, and serial entrepreneurs. "We are not just advising — we are co-building," says our Managing Director. "Every venture in this cohort has the potential to create lasting impact in their communities."
Key milestones for this cohort include market validation workshops, financial modeling intensives, and culminating in a Demo Day where selected investors from across Africa and beyond will evaluate each venture for potential follow-on funding.
The Ignition Hour has already incubated 18 businesses across its first two cohorts, with portfolio companies collectively raising over $1.5M in follow-on capital. We are excited to see what this new generation of founders will achieve.
