Opening the Muzambiringa Tech Innovation Hub in Freetown
Our new state-of-the-art innovation hub provides a creative workspace, mentorship, and technology resources for the next generation of West African tech entrepreneurs.
We are thrilled to announce the grand opening of the Muzambiringa Tech Innovation Hub, located in the heart of Freetown. This state-of-the-art facility is designed to be the epicenter of tech entrepreneurship in Sierra Leone, providing aspiring and established tech founders with world-class resources.
The Hub features co-working spaces, private offices, a prototyping lab, high-speed internet, and dedicated meeting rooms. But it is much more than a physical space — it is a community. Members gain access to our network of mentors, regular workshops on emerging technologies, and direct pathways into our venture building programs.
The opening event welcomed over 150 attendees, including government officials, tech industry leaders, international development partners, and most importantly, the young entrepreneurs who will call this space home. The energy in the room was electric — a palpable sense that something new and important is taking root in Freetown.
"Technology is the great equalizer," noted our CEO during the opening remarks. "This Hub is our commitment to ensuring that Sierra Leonean innovators have the same tools, knowledge, and connections as their counterparts anywhere in the world."
The Hub will host its first cohort of resident startups starting next month, with applications already exceeding capacity. We are exploring plans to expand the concept to other cities across the Mano River region within the next 18 months.
